Remote Project Finance Analyst - Renewables to Associate Level

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to advance financial modeling for utility-scale battery storage projects across the country.
• Manage financial models pertaining to project off-take, bidding strategies, debt/equity structuring, project sales, and tax incentive approaches.
• Partner with key stakeholders to create and enhance financial analysis and forecasting tools for corporate financing, capital market needs, FP&A, and renewable project assessments.
• Stay informed on industry developments to optimize financial analytics processes and minimize risks associated with changing interest rates, tax regulations, and financing structures in the renewable energy landscape.
  
  

Required Skills

• Demonstrated experience in project finance within the realms of power, renewables, capital markets, or energy infrastructure.
• Proficient in project finance modeling with a strong command of Microsoft Excel (MS Excel) and debt/equity structuring.
• Familiarity with intricate debt/equity arrangements, tax equity transactions, and advanced project finance execution is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial analyses clearly to both internal and external parties.
• Eagerness to engage in sophisticated discussions surrounding utility-scale renewable technologies, including solar, wind, storage, transmission, and battery storage.
• Knowledge of national energy power markets such as PJM, ERCOT, SPP, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, and CAISO is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project finance supporting power, renewables, capital markets, or energy infrastructure transactions.
