Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, journal entries, and general ledger accounts.
- Conduct reconciliations for balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Coordinate and facilitate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Oversee vendor invoice processing and payroll reporting to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and relevant regulations.
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, on a timely basis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives, providing critical analysis of financial data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
- Assist in external audits and collaborate with tax professionals to fulfill tax obligations, while ensuring compliance with evolving accounting regulations.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting experience (experience in veterinary, healthcare, or related sectors is advantageous).
- Familiarity with public company accounting and a strong grasp of GAAP is preferred.
- Robust understanding of internal controls/SOX compliance is a definite plus.
- Proficiency in accounting management systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, Bill.com) along with advanced Excel capabilities.
