Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements, ensuring timely and precise tax filings.
- Review intricate tax returns, focusing on 1065s for real estate and construction clients, as well as 1031 exchanges, special allocations, cost segregation studies, and partnership agreements.
- Investigate and resolve complex tax matters, providing insightful solutions and guidance.
- Mentor and supervise project teams, offering constructive feedback and cultivating a cooperative working environment.
- Manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring efficient financial operations.
- Embrace and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency and work processes.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, underscoring a commitment to professional development and team achievement.
- Active CPA license.
- 5 years of recent public accounting experience, particularly in a digital environment.
- Extensive experience in reviewing complex 1065 forms, specifically for real estate and construction clients.
- Comprehensive knowledge of 1031 exchanges, special allocations, cost segregation studies, and partnership agreements.
- Strong communication skills, with the capacity to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and a critical thinker who thrives on problem-solving.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and tax software (preferably CCH Axcess & Engagement).
- A collaborative approach, eager to share insights and learn from colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- Professional certification (CPA) is mandatory.
