Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Manager, Procurement Finance - Operations. In this pivotal position, you will be instrumental in driving cost optimization and refining procurement strategies. This role demands a global perspective and cross-functional collaboration, working closely with Finance and Procurement teams to synchronize spending and savings objectives, enhance cost efficiency, and establish inventory benchmarks to minimize Purchase Price Variances (PPV). This position reports directly to the Procurement Finance Director within the Operations division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the financial planning processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, encompassing Long Range Plans (LRP) and Latest Best Estimates (LBE).
  • Supervise the annual process of setting inventory standards, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct analysis and reporting on key factors contributing to Purchase Price Variance (PPV) in partnership with Procurement, offering valuable insights for forecast refinements.
  • Generate and present concise, accurate, and forward-looking variance analysis and financial reports for management at all levels.
  • Serve as a strategic collaborator with Procurement and Operations Finance teams, promoting alignment, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Validate and coordinate cost-saving initiatives within Procurement to maximize financial outcomes.
  • Offer continuous business support and act as a subject matter expert on procurement expenditure and savings methodologies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of two, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work and fostering professional development.
  • Initiate process enhancements and spearhead key initiatives to improve financial management and reporting practices.
  • Provide support for ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • A minimum of 8 years of pertinent experience in finance or procurement-related roles.
  • Exceptional financial analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven capacity to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and facilitate process improvements.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with all management levels and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring staff is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SAP or similar financial systems.
