In your role as a Senior Tax Leader, you will have a significant impact on our team’s success by promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including federal and state income tax returns, while adhering to deadlines.
- Tackling complex accounting challenges and formulating effective solutions.
- Proposing enhancements to accounting processes and procedures.
- Ensuring productivity levels are met while achieving billable hour targets.
- Collaborating directly with external clients, providing expertise on various matters and assisting with special projects with minimal oversight.
- Upholding professionalism and confidentiality with respect to client-related issues.
To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- 5-15 years of experience in insurance, captive insurance, or automotive finance accounting, with an emphasis on F&I and/or enterprise risk management.
- Proven track record in a matrixed work environment.
- A minimum of 2 years in a senior accounting or managerial capacity.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and IRS Tax Code/Regulations.
- Understanding of IRS Circular 230 Regulations and the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and QuickBooks.
- Familiarity with enterprise software such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with IRS forms 1120 and 1065 is advantageous.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
