We are in search of a committed and experienced Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Supervisor to spearhead our clinical team. In the role of SUD Supervisor, you will oversee both the clinical and administrative operations on a daily basis, ensuring that patient care is delivered to the highest standards while adhering to all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical services, dedicating approximately 50% of your efforts to managing a caseload of clients.
- Ensure compliance with Maryland’s mental health program model as well as BHA, COMAR, and CARF policies and procedures.
- Recruit, train, and support staff, ensuring the department is staffed with qualified professionals and assisting in training on EMR systems for necessary documentation.
- Design and assign group therapy sessions for the agency while coordinating comprehensive patient care services.
- Develop and oversee the department's budget, ensuring the efficient allocation and use of resources.
- Conduct employee evaluations, providing constructive feedback and managing disciplinary matters with professionalism.
- Supervise adherence to all legal and quality standards, ensuring medical records and documentation are consistently current.
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate coordinated patient care and achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
- Lead weekly group supervision and team meetings to cultivate a supportive and cooperative atmosphere.
- Maintain availability for flexible working hours, including evenings, as required.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and organizational proficiency.
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical policies and regulations, particularly COMAR guidelines and program development.
- Experience in working with diverse populations is highly desirable.
- A Master's degree in Clinical Administration or a related discipline.
- Current licensure as an LCADC, LCSW-C, or LCPC with Supervisory status for oversight of SUD counselors.
- A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience, particularly in settings addressing addiction and mental health concerns.
- Must possess valid malpractice insurance and a driver’s license, as well as be available for occasional emergency telephone support.
