Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Vice President of Operations to join our esteemed executive leadership team. This pivotal position entails oversight of a diverse portfolio of accounts across the Pacific Northwest and Southwestern regions. As this is a remote role, the ideal candidate will be located within these territories and prepared for extensive travel to engage with teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of the leadership team, you will:

  • Lead with strategic foresight, establishing priorities and steering operational success throughout your designated region.
  • Drive operational excellence by achieving financial and operational targets while ensuring the highest standards of service quality.
  • Cultivate growth by spearheading business development initiatives, acquiring new clients, and enhancing existing partnerships to broaden the organization’s impact.
  • Inspire and develop high-performing management teams through mentorship, training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow senior leaders to implement innovative programs that align with client expectations and elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure fiscal accountability by managing budgeting and financial reporting, aligning with corporate objectives and compliance standards.

Required Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proven experience managing a team of six or more director-level or higher professionals.
  • A robust background in higher education contract food services, with comprehensive industry knowledge.
  • At least five years of experience leading multi-unit foodservice accounts with a combined managed volume exceeding $200 million.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, showcasing exceptional problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency in preparing executive-level reports and business correspondence, with outstanding presentation skills.
  • Solid experience in a fee- and/or P&L-driven setting, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of five years in a leadership capacity within the foodservice or operations sector.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
