- Identify and rectify any billing discrepancies, denials, or payment delays while ensuring prompt follow-ups.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to clarify billing details and gather necessary information.
- Process payments from various sources and accurately update patient accounts.
- Address patient inquiries concerning billing, payments, and insurance reimbursements.
- Monitor accounts receivable to analyze outstanding balances and ensure timely collections.
- Stay informed about industry changes, billing regulations, and best practices to maintain compliance and maximize reimbursements.

- 2-3 years of experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management (required).
- Experience with Behavioral Health billing is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with various insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Proficient in medical billing software, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and insurance claim processes.
- Understanding of accounts receivable management and collections.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree or certification in medical billing is preferred. Completion of a medical billing program is a plus, with experience considered in place of formal education.
