In the role of Behavioral Health Clinician, you will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to address the mental health needs of our patients, ensuring a comprehensive approach to overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based behavioral interventions for a diverse array of physical and mental health concerns, utilizing both in-person and telehealth modalities. Techniques may encompass behavioral activation, problem-solving treatment, and motivational interviewing.
- Conduct thorough assessments utilizing biopsychosocial models, including adult and pediatric screening tools and substance use evaluations.
- Provide consultation and training to the primary care team regarding best practices in mental health, chemical dependency, and behavioral medicine.
- Use electronic health records (EHR) to document and communicate patient care details effectively with medical providers and team members.
- Collaborate closely with medical providers and psychiatric consultants to modify treatment plans for patients in need of specialized mental health care.
- Facilitate patient referrals for additional clinical services as necessary.
- Monitor patient progress and clinical outcomes through a registry system.
- Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and clinic-wide initiatives aimed at process improvement.
- Uphold compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in evidence-based counseling techniques and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with documentation and coding, ideally including familiarity with Medicare Advantage and Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding.
- Master's degree or higher in clinical psychology, behavioral science, social work, or a related discipline.
- Active independent licensure in Arizona as one of the following: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist.
- A minimum of two years of experience in providing behavioral health services across various age demographics, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Enthusiastic team player with a proactive mindset and a commitment to health and wellness.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) required upon hire.
