Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by managing inbound patient communications with professionalism and empathy.
- Address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns using effective conflict-resolution techniques.
- Initiate outbound calls to assist patients in rescheduling appointments and collecting essential information.
- Collaborate with the call center team to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Assess and triage patient calls, directing them to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health insurance processes and fundamental medical terminology.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold confidentiality standards during all patient interactions.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare or customer service environment.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and best practices in patient communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, databases, and EHR systems (experience with AthenaHealth is a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of various health insurance plans and associated terminology.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- One year of relevant experience in a healthcare or customer service role is required.
