Key Responsibilities

• Deliver ethical and culturally-sensitive counseling and case management for clients with varying mental health needs.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans that address each client’s specific circumstances.
• Provide psychoeducation covering important topics such as relapse prevention, treatment methodologies, and behavioral insights.
• Ensure the maintenance of precise clinical records, including intake forms, treatment strategies, progress documentation, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, including referrals to additional support services.
• Offer timely crisis intervention when necessary, providing essential support and guidance.
• Participate in regular supervision and ongoing professional development to enhance your skills.
• Advocate for clients and actively assist in their treatment and discharge planning.
  
  

Required Skills

• Expertise in substance use disorders, clinical counseling, and behavioral health care.
• Strong ability to provide culturally-sensitive care and demonstrate ethical practices in counseling.
  
  

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field (Required).
• A minimum of six months of clinical experience in a relevant setting (Preferred), with new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Licensure in Maryland as LMSW/LCPC/LCSW or equivalent (Required). Clinical Psychologists are also welcome to apply.
• Areas of specialty may include Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and general behavioral health.
