Position: Virtual Resource Nurse (In-Office - Brentwood, TN)
As a Virtual Resource Nurse (VRN), you will be an integral part of our patient care team, providing virtual nursing services across a variety of settings, including acute and sub-acute care, emergency departments, critical care units, skilled nursing facilities, and patient homes. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert virtual nursing care to a diverse adult patient population.
- Utilize critical thinking to assess clinical concerns and determine appropriate interventions.
- Demonstrate acute and/or critical care nursing skills in a telehealth environment.
- Mentor and support nursing staff through supervision, coaching, and education.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and their families.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic medical records (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.).
- Advocate for patient safety and well-being through high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Engage in unit-specific orientation and ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of telemetry monitoring, policies, and procedures.
- Proficient in electronic health records and computer-based documentation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capacity to multitask, prioritize patient needs, and thrive in a fast-paced telehealth setting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in acute care, critical care, or step-down nursing.
- At least 1 year of leadership experience guiding clinical workflows among hospital staff.
- Active RN license or compact nursing license, with the potential to obtain additional state licensure.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Certifications in ACLS and BLS (required), EKG and PALS (preferred but not mandatory).
