Key Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate engaging daily, weekly, and monthly events that promote social interaction, relaxation, and recreation.
- Implement activities tailored to the specific needs of residents, ensuring their participation and enjoyment.
- Manage logistical aspects of events, including communications, advertising, budgeting, volunteer coordination, and transportation arrangements.
- Assess participant feedback during events to continuously improve and tailor activities, ensuring a person-centered approach for each resident.
- Maintain safety standards by reporting medical concerns, adhering to compliance regulations, and ensuring a secure environment.
- Handle administrative tasks, including organizing activity spaces, maintaining inventories, and providing transportation for residents as needed.
- Educational background or relevant experience in nursing, recreational activities, event planning, or closely related fields.
- Proficiency in assisting residents with mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, and gait belts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an aptitude for working with seniors, caregivers, disabled persons, and individuals with dementia.
- A genuine passion for our mission and a commitment to serving our residents with kindness and enthusiasm.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Acquire and maintain current First Aid and Food Handlers Certification.
- Fulfill the required annual training hours for the position.
- Obtain a valid driver's license within the first 15 days of employment.
