Key Responsibilities
- Implement scheduled activities according to the calendar of events.
- Assist with the transportation of residents to and from activities, both within the facility and externally.
- Provide individualized activities for residents who may not participate in group events, as time allows.
- Maintain thorough documentation of residents’ engagement in activities.
- Develop alternative activities in the event of cancellations.
- Address any resident or family inquiries by directing them to the Director of Housing, as needed.
- Cultivate positive partnerships with other departments to ensure teamwork.
- Engage with residents through personal interactions, including visits, letter writing, and entertainment activities.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet the needs of the residents.
- A compassionate and dedicated approach to care.
- Strong organizational abilities for effective planning and execution of activities.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents and team members.
- Ability to engage residents with various activities and entertainment options.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Current and valid First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Capability to complete an activity certification program (training will be provided upon hire).
