Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of direct resident care and manage nursing staff during your shift.
  • Administer prescribed medications and provide hands-on care as required.
  • Conduct rounds to guarantee optimal care and maintain a secure, clean environment.
  • Keep physicians and families updated on any changes in resident conditions.
  • Collaborate in the formulation of comprehensive care plans while ensuring accurate documentation of all care provided.
  • Respond promptly to resident emergency calls, promoting restorative care to enhance resident independence.
  • Participate in ongoing training and educational sessions to further professional development.
  • Ensure that medical equipment is functioning correctly and that adequate supplies are available.

Required Skills

  • Valid and current RN license in the state.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • A compassionate and caring attitude towards residents.
  • Strong ability to establish rapport with residents and team members.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
