Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational support to the Global Head of Medical Affairs and Evidence Generation, enhancing communication and overseeing projects to align with both short-term and long-term objectives.
- Collaborate to develop and implement MA&EG strategies that align with our Vision 2030, focusing on expanding our investments across various indications and patient impacts.
- Act as a key liaison between the Global Head of Medical Affairs and Evidence Generation, executives, stakeholders, and community leaders, ensuring effective communication and strategic alignment.
- Support the development of the medical affairs and evidence generation infrastructure essential for successful launch activities by identifying gaps and defining roles within teams.
- Lead the creation of presentations for various forums, ensuring the MA&EG organization communicates its contributions cohesively.
- Identify collaborative opportunities across the organization and propose actionable solutions.
- Monitor key initiatives and annual plans, adjusting strategies based on performance metrics.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to MA&EG Program Managers, ensuring alignment with prioritized projects through ongoing assessments of business needs.
- Previous experience in Medical Affairs Strategy and Planning is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments while leading teams through ambiguity.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Experience in preparing and delivering impactful presentations.
- Demonstrated capability in coaching and developing talent within teams.
- Ability to effectively set priorities among competing demands while balancing short-term and long-term objectives.
- Understanding of co-creation and collaboration dynamics across teams, contributing to a positive team spirit.
- An advanced degree (MBA, MD, PhD, MS, PharmD, etc.) is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership capacity, including at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry specifically within medical affairs or related areas.
- Proven success in managing large-scale, cross-functional projects with expertise in strategic planning, execution, and budgeting.
- Comprehensive understanding of the clinical development process and lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in various computer systems and project management tools.
- Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time as necessary, including visits to our offices in Boston and Gent.
