Position: Corporate Citizenship Intern - Responsible Travel & Responsible Business

We are thrilled to present an internship opportunity for a Corporate Citizenship Intern within our Responsible Travel & Responsible Business sector. This hybrid position is based at our headquarters in Pawtucket, RI, and provides a flexible schedule ranging from 32 to 40 hours per week.

Our internship initiative is tailored for college students eager to navigate diverse career avenues while gaining invaluable insights into the travel industry, international business, and corporate citizenship practices. As part of a dynamic cohort of over 20 interns, you will engage in impactful work within a mission-driven setting. Here's what you can anticipate during your internship:

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in auditing current tours and vendors to ensure alignment with our enhanced responsible travel guidelines corresponding to selected UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Support the responsible travel team through research on potential vendors and the evaluation of existing partners against our standards.
  • Collaborate with the responsible travel and corporate responsibility teams on carbon measurement and impact assessment initiatives.
  • Gather visual and content materials from tour vendors and nonprofit/social enterprise partners to promote responsible travel efforts.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices and competitor analysis to refine our messaging and corporate citizenship strategies, guiding our Responsible Travel marketing and communication efforts.
  • Create and design content related to Responsible Travel, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) for our social media platforms, intranet, and websites.
  • Provide general support for volunteer programs and summer events, such as Founder's Week and other community activities.
  • Assist with local and global partner grantmaking as necessary.
  • Conduct research, competitive analysis, and content creation to enhance our CSR web and intranet presence.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college-level program
  • A passion for responsible travel and corporate citizenship
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience is advantageous

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $17.00/hr
