Job Overview
As the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be instrumental in managing and guiding all facets of our food and beverage operations. You will prioritize ensuring profitability while delivering high-quality offerings and outstanding guest service. Your role will also encompass marketing strategy implementation, employee retention efforts, budget management, and the maintenance of exceptional guest satisfaction standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented experience in every interaction with guests and team members.
- Uphold professional grooming and appearance standards consistently.
- Ensure adherence to all safety and operational regulations for a secure and efficient environment.
- Supervise daily operations across all food and beverage outlets within the hotel.
- Support and mentor outlet personnel, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with fellow Food & Beverage Managers to stay current on ongoing challenges and developments.
- Keep management apprised of significant issues or concerns requiring attention.
- Monitor loss prevention strategies within food and beverage operations.
- Prepare and submit essential reports, including payroll, revenue, employee schedules, and quarterly action plans.
- Maintain high standards of service across all food and beverage avenues.
- Assist in menu development and preparation to enhance guest offerings.
- Comply with local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations.
- Remain present in dining areas during service periods to assist staff and ensure seamless operations.
- Manage liquor inventory controls in accordance with company standards, including monthly inventory audits.
- Conduct performance evaluations for staff aligned with company protocols.
- Participate in and/or lead training sessions for the department and hotel.
- Conduct interviews for front-of-house food and beverage positions, adhering to hiring policies.
- Engage in the Manager on Duty (M.O.D.) program as scheduled.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required by management.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 4-year college degree with at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree with 3 or more years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Symphony is mandatory.
- Competency in Windows and familiarity with company-approved spreadsheets and word processing software.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department regulations, and liquor laws.
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
