Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough on-site inspections of both residential and commercial properties, evaluating damage due to accidents or adverse weather conditions.
- Engage with policyholders to explain coverage details and facilitate their understanding of the claims process.
- Collaborate with agents and various stakeholders to gather necessary information and efficiently resolve claims.
- Provide outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Document findings meticulously, collect supporting evidence, and prepare comprehensive reports to substantiate the claims process.
- Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims, overseeing claims valued up to $500,000.
- Assess coverage and policy terms to ensure claim validity and compliance with industry standards.
- Negotiate and settle claims within authorized parameters.
- Proven experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist within the insurance sector, particularly in handling property claims.
- Solid comprehension of property insurance policies and claims management.
- Familiarity with both residential and commercial construction practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive discussions with care.
- Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with acute attention to detail.
- Proficiency in claims management software and related tools.
- Physical capability to navigate properties, including climbing ladders and accessing confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
- Experience managing complex or high-value claims, with a background in construction being advantageous.
- Familiarity with water mitigation inspections and knowledge of Xactimate or XactContents software is a plus.
