Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, performing comprehensive on-site inspections to evaluate damage from accidents and adverse weather.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by articulating policy coverage, estimating damages, and expertly guiding clients through the claims process.
  • Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to gather pertinent information and resolve claims efficiently.
  • Manage a diverse range of claims, including complex cases, with professionalism and empathy.
  • Document findings thoroughly, prepare detailed reports, and negotiate settlements within authorized parameters.
  • Assess coverage, determine the validity of claims, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner, demonstrating understanding and support in potentially stressful situations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist within the insurance sector, specifically focused on property claims.
  • Strong familiarity with property insurance policies, coverage details, and claims processing.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial construction standards.
  • Understanding of local regulations impacting claims and inspections.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly in handling sensitive conversations with empathy.
  • Demonstrated capability to assess damages, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in claims management software and related tools.
  • Physical ability to perform inspections, including lifting, climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience in managing complex or high-value claims is advantageous.
  • Background in construction is a plus.
  • Familiarity with water mitigation inspection practices is beneficial.
