Key Responsibilities
- Direct all procurement activities, including RFPs, negotiations, and purchase order management
- Formulate and implement strategic purchasing initiatives
- Evaluate supplier delivery performance and cultivate strong vendor partnerships
- Research and identify suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies to achieve optimal purchasing terms
- Manage inventory systems to sustain appropriate stock levels
- Conduct routine cycle counts and oversee quarterly and annual inventory processes
- Address low inventory alerts and maintain accurate bills of materials
- Ensure proper product labeling and systematic organization of storage
- Prepare and oversee COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) analysis and annual budgets
- Monitor key performance metrics for financial assessments
- Uphold quality control standards through regular production inspections
- Conduct internal quality audits and maintain compliance documentation
- Support lean manufacturing and Six Sigma efforts
- Assist with financial operations such as accounts payable and receivable as necessary
- Coordinate travel logistics for team members
- Act as the company notary public
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational abilities and communication aptitude
- High school diploma or GED is required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing and inventory management is necessary
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Business, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in Purchasing Management for at least 2 years is advantageous
- Lean and Six Sigma certifications are a plus
- Familiarity with injection molding processes is beneficial
