Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team remotely. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records for a diverse portfolio of optometric practices, ensuring that our members receive the highest level of service in managing their fiscal responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the bookkeeping and financial reporting processes for independent optometric practice owners.
  • Assist in the coding of transactions and partner with owners on decisions related to equipment acquisitions.
  • Reconcile accounts and perform monthly closings efficiently.
  • Facilitate the payroll process, which includes processing payroll, managing tax payments, and filing payroll reports.
  • Manage financial operations for up to 60 client practices on a monthly basis.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for the enhancement of our services.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems, such as QuickBooks Payroll, Gusto, ADP, or Paychex, is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in Excel, including knowledge of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP, alongside proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong time management and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly organized, with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and adept at working independently in a remote setting.
  • Committed to collaboration and teamwork within a dynamic workplace.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of experience in bookkeeping or financial management is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
