Role Overview

As a Business Development Representative, you will play an essential role in establishing relationships with prospective corporate clients. Through proactive sales engagement, lead generation, and thorough market research, you will promote our suite of intelligence and platform services, gaining insights into our offerings and effectively communicating our value proposition to clients across various target markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage potential enterprise clients through comprehensive research, outbound communication via calls, emails, and social media, specifically within the agri-food sector and related industries.
  • Analyze industry trends and market intelligence needs, pinpointing key challenges faced by enterprise clients within the agri-food landscape.
  • Qualify both inbound and outbound leads, ensuring a seamless transition to the sales team for closure.
  • Develop and deliver tailored messaging that effectively highlights the advantages of our SaaS-based solutions for data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to design targeted campaigns aimed at optimizing lead conversion.
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions within CRM platforms like Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company’s SaaS offerings to communicate their value effectively.

Required Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation, preferably within SaaS, technology sales, or intelligence sales sectors.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with the agri-food industry, enterprise sales cycles, or analytics tools is advantageous.
  • Proficient in explaining SaaS solutions and navigating CRM systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with a growth mindset and a passion for connecting with others.

Qualifications

  • Experience in SaaS or platform sales is a distinct advantage.
  • Previous business-to-business prospecting experience is preferred, ideally targeting corporate professionals.
  • A competitive spirit with a strong desire to advance a career in technology sales is vital.
