Your primary responsibility will be to devise and execute strategies for our partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, diagnostic organizations, and other private sector stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Program Strategy and fellow Programmatic Directors to develop strategies for integrating new products and programs into our offerings.
- Lead the execution of annual business development plans, directing both internal and external resources while providing guidance to direct reports.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities within the private sector to align our organizational objectives with innovative industry practices.
- Oversee daily interactions with key partners and support Program Managers in fostering those relationships.
- Build and maintain robust connections with senior executives across pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and related industries.
- Negotiate and manage partnership agreements that facilitate product access and distribution in underserved markets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to create engaging partnership proposals and initiatives that reflect organizational priorities.
- Ensure effective implementation of partnership agreements, supporting collaboration and adherence to commitments.
- Work with technical, programmatic, and advocacy teams to ensure alignment between private sector partnerships and public health initiatives.
- Represent the organization at global health forums and industry events, advocating for innovative strategies to increase access to essential health solutions.
- Identify funding opportunities from corporate partners and foundations, collaborating with the Development and Communications department to secure support for access initiatives.
- Partner with the Director of Monitoring & Evaluation to establish metrics assessing the impact of partnerships on healthcare access and regularly report progress to leadership and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of global health challenges and access issues in low- and middle-income countries.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities.
- Advanced skills in strategy formulation and team leadership within dynamic environments.
- Outstanding relationship-building and negotiation expertise with high-level stakeholders.
- Proficient in English, with fluency in additional languages being advantageous.
- Experience working globally with diverse teams across various time zones.
- A passion for health equity and collaborative approaches.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's or relevant certification in Public Health, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field is preferred, with a PhD being a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in private sector engagement, global health, or related fields.
- Proven experience in establishing and managing strategic partnerships within the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or health technology sectors.
- Strong familiarity with the regulatory landscape affecting global health access.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
