Key Responsibilities
- Maintain guest rooms by adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
- Address any maintenance concerns and respond to guest requests with utmost professionalism and care.
- Manage guest room keys with security and report any lost and found items to the supervisor.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces while following safety protocols.
- Safely transport cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities to assigned rooms.
- Ensure proper disposal of trash and recyclables, maintaining a neat and organized room.
- Replace soiled linens and terry cloth items with fresh, clean alternatives as per set standards.
- Sanitize bathrooms thoroughly, including mirrors, sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs, ensuring all soap buildup, hair, and dirt are removed.
- Change bed linens and ensure beds are made to established cleanliness standards.
- Organize closets, verify the availability of amenities, and clean any debris from closet spaces and door tracks.
- Dust and polish furniture, light fixtures, and all room items to maintain cleanliness.
- Reposition furniture and clean dust, dirt, and smudges from windows, frames, ledges, and AC units.
- Conduct a quick inspection of the room for any lost items and clear any debris from under furniture.
- Report any damage or maintenance needs to the supervisor without delay.
- Confirm that fire safety information, rate cards, and “Do Not Disturb” signs are present and in good condition.
- Vacuum and clean the floors in all rooms and provide assistance in other areas of the property as needed.
- Replenish supply carts and storage areas, ensuring they are organized and readily available for use.
- Address guest complaints courteously, striving to guarantee guest satisfaction by promptly attending to their needs.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including fire and emergency procedures.
- Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned by the supervisor, including preparing cribs and rollaway beds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a robust work ethic.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety practices.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to effectively perform the tasks required.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar role, with preference for brand-specific experience.
- Understanding of safe chemical handling and effective cleaning techniques.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, bending, and reaching.
