Remote Implementer for LGBTQ+ Events

Job Overview

Join our mission to create a welcoming and supportive environment for LGBTQ families, where they can feel valued and included within the Jewish community. This part-time position, conducted remotely with occasional in-person engagements, provides an exceptional opportunity to directly contribute to diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and support all facets of in-person programs, generally occurring one weekend morning or afternoon each month.
• Evaluate program venues to ensure they align with community needs.
• Oversee program supplies, including ordering and transporting necessary materials.
• Facilitate on-site registration for attendees.
• Engage with program participants to foster meaningful connections and mutual support.
• Collaborate with the LGBTQ Family Connector and supervisor post-event to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

• Strong interpersonal and active listening abilities.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of and connections within the Boston queer community, particularly with queer parents and gender-questioning children.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Community Organization or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning or working with families.
• Ability to navigate situations with diplomacy and meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation And Benefits

• Part-time position, up to 5 hours per week.
• Remote work, with the exception of in-person program staffing.
