Key Responsibilities
- Execute and support all facets of in-person programs, generally occurring one weekend morning or afternoon each month.
- Evaluate program venues to ensure they align with community needs.
- Oversee program supplies, including ordering and transporting necessary materials.
- Facilitate on-site registration for attendees.
- Engage with program participants to foster meaningful connections and mutual support.
- Collaborate with the LGBTQ Family Connector and supervisor post-event to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and active listening abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of and connections within the Boston queer community, particularly with queer parents and gender-questioning children.
- Bachelor's degree in Community Organization or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning or working with families.
- Ability to navigate situations with diplomacy and meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation And Benefits
- Part-time position, up to 5 hours per week.
- Remote work, with the exception of in-person program staffing.
