Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the marketing liaison, assessing needs and coordinating the development and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Ensure that our messaging and brand identity align consistently to meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of marketing initiatives for client-focused events, industry conferences, sponsorships, and trade shows.
  • Collaborate with design agencies to oversee the creation of marketing materials that promote the Detroit region.
  • Maintain effective internal communication to keep all teams informed about ongoing marketing strategies.
  • Act as the project planner for all marketing-related initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the success of marketing communications to inform future strategies.
  • Uphold brand standards collaboratively and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment through active engagement in diversity and inclusion efforts.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in marketing contexts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strategic thinking and tactical execution abilities.
  • Skillful in building consensus within a diverse team and developing effective working relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing and project management is essential.
  • Familiarity with various marketing disciplines, including sales promotion and trade show marketing.
  • A valid, unrestricted Michigan driver's license is required.
