Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Planning:
- Formulate and execute a strategic sales plan to capitalize on business opportunities and meet sales objectives.
- Employ effective territory management to optimize sales efforts across A&D and Distribution channels.
- Customer Engagement:
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, designers, general contractors, and project owners.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director and Inside Sales Representative to enhance sales initiatives.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource, providing technical assistance and product specifications.
- Sales Growth:
- Monitor the Weekly Quote Report to optimize the quote-to-order conversion ratio.
- Actively prospect to identify new business leads and opportunities.
- Maintain an updated roster of top accounts and projects throughout the region.
- Conduct competitive analysis to uncover opportunities for increased profitability.
- Project and Sales Support:
- Maximize selling potential by leveraging support from internal teams including Account Managers and Technical Support.
- Ensure timely follow-up on customer projects, coordinating necessary actions for successful outcomes.
- Deliver product education through AIA CEU Lunch presentations (minimum of 6 annually).
- Reporting and Systems Management:
- Keep precise account records and follow-up procedures in place.
- Utilize and regularly update sales data systems and construction reporting tools.
- Travel Requirements:
- Travel overnight approximately 50% of the month.
- Successful track record in sales with a strong emphasis on relationship building and collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Effective time management, prioritization, and task execution capabilities.
- Strong listening, probing, and closing abilities.
- A college degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience in sales.
- Demonstrated history of success in business-to-business sales, with a focus on prospecting and cold-calling.
- Prior experience in construction sales is essential; experience with window coverings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the architecture and design sector is advantageous.
