Key Responsibilities
- Advocate for patients by delivering empathetic medical case management through both telephonic and in-person communication.
- Collaborate with medical providers to discuss treatment plans and identify alternative, cost-effective solutions.
- Assess treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and fiscal responsibility.
- Guide the recovery process by evaluating, planning, implementing, and reviewing patient progress.
- Attend essential meetings such as doctor visits and discharge planning conferences to provide comprehensive care.
- Coordinate the provision of durable medical equipment and nursing services for patients.
- Travel locally, up to 60% of your time, to engage with patients and healthcare providers.
- Manage your caseload autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities.
- Experience as an RN Medical Case Manager or relevant clinical background in orthopedics, neurology, or rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with cost containment practices, including utilization review or managed care.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current RN license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.
- Preferred certifications include CCM, CIRS, or other relevant Case Management credentials.
