About The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Application Security Engineer to enhance our security framework across both our internal infrastructure and application offerings. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert security consultations to engineering teams.
• Conduct thorough architecture reviews for new and existing code changes.
• Develop comprehensive threat models during the permitting process.
• Oversee automated code review configurations and manage manual code review processes.
• Engage in continuous security testing and documentation of risks, remediation verification, and retesting validation.
• Collaborate across various technical teams to address complex challenges.
• Perform security audits, risk analyses, and vulnerability testing on all project software systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot security infrastructure software and hardware.
• Research vulnerabilities to develop effective countermeasures and improve security standards.
• Assist staff with cybersecurity queries and provide solutions in a dynamic environment.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of authorization, authentication, and encryption protocols.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python).
• Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP) and system security vulnerabilities.
• Ability to write functional exploits for common vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of Security Engineering methodologies and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Linux OS environments.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Application Security engineering and vulnerability testing.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a critical thinking mindset.

Compensation And Benefits

Our competitive compensation for this role ranges from \(175,000 to \)210,000, determined by various factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
