Position Overview
The Vice President of New Business Development is an essential leadership position tasked with refining the company’s business strategy within the designated region, enhancing market share, and serving as a key representative for our brand. This role focuses on driving revenue growth by strategically engaging with both existing and prospective clients and partners, while also nurturing relationships with local, state, and federal recipients of infrastructure awards. The Vice President will work alongside vital stakeholders to transparently communicate the successes, challenges, and suggested solutions pertinent to the region. This position requires a proactive leader who can devise solutions that align with the business’s best interests and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement strategies to secure direct and indirect partnerships and targets that align with the business’s diverse margin profile.
- Cultivate and sustain active relationships with local, state, and federal government officials responsible for grant program opportunities.
- Champion the brand as an ambassador in various settings, including online forums, conferences, and direct interactions with clients and partners.
- Establish the company as the preferred partner for fiber infrastructure projects and customer lifecycle management.
- Oversee the onboarding process to secure certification as the vendor of choice for strategic targets, including MSA negotiations and rate card development.
- Create a pipeline of opportunities with strategic partnerships to achieve and surpass company KPIs.
- Surpass quota targets as defined in the Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) to qualify for competitive variable compensation.
- Lead the business development team with a strategic approach, identifying key targets and partnerships.
- Ensure high standards of quality and profitability through alignment of agreements with the company’s strategic and operational goals.
- Promote a result-oriented culture with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and collaborative teamwork.
