Key Responsibilities
- Engage residents through one-on-one interactions and group activities.
- Lead or assist in a diverse array of programs, including social, educational, and exercise activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Facilitate games, discussions, exercise classes, art, music sessions, excursions, and special events.
- Support the creation of the monthly newsletter.
- Lead designated activities and promote resident participation, while documenting outcomes as necessary.
- Review goals and progress notes to ensure optimal resident support.
- Assist the Resident Lifestyle Director with various operational tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Patience and compassion in interactions with residents.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to scheduled plans.
- Capability to remain composed in challenging situations, treating all residents with respect and dignity.
- A positive team player with a genuine passion for working with individuals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferably, a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in engaging with seniors and leading life-enrichment activities.
- Experience in memory care is advantageous.
- A valid driver's license is essential.
