Currently in our second year of a grant initiative, we are establishing and expanding an Opportunity Center in New Orleans, LA, aimed at delivering holistic support to individuals pursuing careers in the hospitality sector.

Job Overview

As a Program Specialist, you will be instrumental in facilitating the successful employment of formerly incarcerated individuals within the hospitality realm. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, your role encompasses essential case management, career guidance, and ongoing support, all designed to promote sustainable employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous career counseling to clients, steering them toward job placements in entry-level hospitality roles.
• Assist clients in identifying and addressing barriers to job acquisition and retention.
• Ensure precise documentation of employment placements and retention efforts.
• Engage actively in team meetings, contributing to the development of strategies for program enhancement.
• Act as a representative for the Opportunity Center at job fairs and related events.
• Keep stakeholders apprised of project developments and progress.
• Aid in the preparation of reports for funders and external partners.
• Cultivate and maintain partnerships with nonprofit organizations and public agencies in workforce development.

Compensation And Benefits

• Full-time, exempt position
• Annual Salary: $56,000
• Comprehensive benefits package including 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision premiums, retirement benefits, and generous paid time off.
