Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Digital Content Assistant to join our esteemed cultural arts center. This full-time, non-exempt position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of fostering a sustainable and inclusive community through artistic performances, training, and educational initiatives. As part of a diverse team, you will play a crucial role in engaging with audiences, artists, and students while elevating our brand through innovative digital marketing and content strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing digital and print marketing initiatives, including email newsletters and advertising efforts.
  • Partner with the Communications Manager to develop a comprehensive social media strategy.
  • Create and curate captivating content for various social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Analyze trends and track performance metrics to enhance audience engagement and outreach.
  • Monitor and report on advertising strategies aimed at enhancing brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager in writing, proofreading, and editing diverse content for newsletters, social media posts, and donor communications.
  • Design and produce graphics and multimedia materials for digital and print promotions.
  • Capture and edit video content for promotional purposes and maintain an organized archive of media assets.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and Canva.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) or similar office software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, coupled with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written, proofreading, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in photography and videography, including editing skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience (4 years).
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in communications or marketing, with a solid understanding of digital media trends.
  • Proven collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
