Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the profitability, growth, and retention of a designated portfolio of business.
- Underwrite and negotiate intricate customer accounts to ensure a balanced approach to risk and profitability.
- Foster and maintain robust relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Engage proactively with agents and brokers through face-to-face meetings to promote and sell our diverse range of products.
- Identify and seize new business opportunities employing consultative marketing and sales techniques.
- Independently formulate and implement agency sales plans while collaborating with leadership on regional sales methods.
- Mentor and guide less experienced Account Executives as needed.
- In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products, industry regulations, and market trends.
- Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate risk and make well-informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, particularly in engagements with agents and brokers.
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships and adeptly navigate complex underwriting scenarios.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Six to eight years of pertinent underwriting experience within commercial lines.
- CPCU designation is an advantageous addition.
- Minimum of four years of underwriting experience is required.
