Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the organization to promote efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support and supervise program service and administrative leaders to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and execute organizational policies in alignment with our mission and values.
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across various departments.
- Approve personnel-related decisions, including new roles, pay adjustments, and funding allocations.
- Draft, review, and finalize grant proposals and contract agreements.
- Act as the primary liaison for union contract matters.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to implement the organizational vision and strategy.
- Inspire and lead staff to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and principles.
- Organize and conduct staff meetings, retreats, and program-specific sessions to enhance teamwork.
- Manage various organizational committees focused on justice, equity, and universal access.
- Assist in the formulation and execution of both long-term and short-term strategic plans.
- Prepare materials and reports for Board meetings and actively participate in those sessions.
- Represent the organization at external events, conferences, and community outreach initiatives.
- Engage in advocacy efforts and legislative testimony as needed.
- Develop budgets for programs based on funding agreements and expected expenses.
- Monitor expenditures and program implementation, adjusting budgets as required.
- Approve organizational and program-related expenses.
- Serve as the main contact for funding partners and ensure accurate financial records in collaboration with the finance team.
- Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations within the organization.
- Prepare necessary reports for the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives alongside agency leadership.
- Support audits, evaluations, and assessments to ascertain the organization’s effectiveness.
- Be available for urgent needs and emergencies and serve as on-call backup when necessary.

- Possession of a Master's degree or equivalent experience.
- Preferred senior-level leadership experience in a nonprofit or analogous organization.
- Strong understanding of the nonprofit landscape and associated challenges.
- Proven experience in grant writing, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams within a mission-focused environment.
- Proficient in facilitating meetings, small group discussions, and coaching sessions.
- Comfortable with public speaking and delivering presentations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with strong independent work capabilities.
- Proficient in computer usage, internet navigation, and social media, including Google platforms.
- Experience in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with integrity.
- Willingness to work during non-standard hours and travel statewide as necessary.
- Salary: \(80,000 - \)90,000 per year (exempt, salaried)
