Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of private label and special labeling requirements, ensuring smooth operations and outstanding service delivery.
- Evaluate opportunities with printers and materials to satisfy customer or manufacturer needs while optimizing costs.
- Engage in negotiations regarding costs associated with artwork setup, printing, and storage as necessary.
- Analyze costs related to label development to enhance profitability.
- Communicate with customers about lead times, project statuses, and costs.
- Ensure accuracy of work orders, labels, and proofs, maintaining consistency in branding, spelling, and grammar.
- Coordinate printer discussions to assess negotiations and performance.
- Manage workflows throughout the various stages of label development.
- Provide efficient support to both internal and external customer inquiries.
- Collaborate closely with logistics and sales teams to ensure streamlined supply chain operations and timely label reorders.
- Work alongside purchasing and account teams to address order trends, formula changes, and special customer requests.
- Maintain an archive of new label samples, product displays, and preparations for trade shows.
- Track costs and determine accountability for cost absorption.
- Develop training resources and mentor team members on established processes and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in product development management, preferably in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, with international experience being an advantage.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of pre-press, proofing systems, packaging substrates, and various printing methods (including flexo, rotogravure, and litho).
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects and urgent tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, coupled with a keen eye for detail in grammar and proofreading.
- Collaborative team player with the capability to work effectively in a group setting.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Annual salary ranging from \(66,500 to \)79,830, commensurate with experience.
