Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of intricate proposals, including shortlist interviews, ensuring they align with client requirements and strategic messaging established during the positioning phase.
- Collaborate closely with client service managers to comprehend and execute client plans, overseeing all proposal activities to guarantee quality assurance, compliance, production, and timely delivery.
- Facilitate meetings with team members to brainstorm key message components, unique selling points, and creative concepts, ensuring proposal themes resonate with insights gathered from strategy discussions.
- Enhance communication with clients by working alongside market leadership to ensure the effective execution of actions stemming from the strategy phase, thereby increasing win probabilities.
- Partner with marketing to create tailored materials for client meetings and presentations.
- Assist in preparation for interviews, conducting practice sessions, and providing coaching to proposal teams on presentation techniques to ensure alignment with proposal messaging.
- Collaborate with technical teams to draft and customize resumes, project descriptions, and other essential proposal content.
- Organize and maintain a repository of proposal data and resources for future reference, ensuring accessibility and currency of information.
- Lead the development of content for special projects, such as statements of qualifications and presentations, while managing review calls.
- Proven experience in crafting proposals for a wide range of RFPs and solicitations.
- Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, and interview coaching skills.
- Strong project management capabilities, effectively handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
- Attentiveness to detail and problem-solving skills, ensuring all proposal components are meticulously addressed.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in proposal development, preferably within the A/E/C industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and InDesign.
