Regional Sales Manager - Midwest - Remote

We are on the lookout for an accomplished and driven Regional Sales Manager who excels in value-based technical sales, particularly in the construction, engineering, or concrete sectors. The ideal candidate will showcase a successful history of developing emerging markets and unearthing new opportunities.

Position Overview

In the capacity of Regional Sales Manager, you will manage both direct and indirect account relationships across the Midwest region. Your fundamental role will be to forge robust connections within the construction industry, promoting the advantages of fiber-reinforced concrete. This position is remote, with a preference for candidates located in Illinois, Kansas, or Missouri, and you will report directly to the Area Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture existing value chains while consistently enhancing market share.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to optimize product specifications.
  • Develop and present persuasive technical proposals to prospective clients.
  • Identify and strategize to capitalize on new business opportunities within the region.
  • Promote an entrepreneurial mindset that drives revenue growth and profitability.
  • Oversee daily management of established regional accounts effectively.
  • Conduct market analysis to monitor competitor activities, forecast performance, and provide insights for strategic initiatives.
  • Suggest innovative product developments to foster business growth.
  • Engage in price negotiations alongside the Area Sales Manager.
  • Implement regional marketing strategies to align with organizational growth goals.
  • Coordinate with the marketing operations team to ensure exceptional customer service delivery.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Sales, or Marketing.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in outside sales or engineering roles.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the designated region.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, especially in high-pressure settings.
  • Familiarity with general building processes and product specification development.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a results-oriented approach.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities with a focus on precision.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, CRM systems, forecasting, and marketing techniques.
  • A strong desire for ongoing personal and professional development within the company.
