Job Overview

We are actively seeking a Director of Sales Operations to spearhead our global Sales Operations team. This pivotal role will involve optimizing sales processes, managing Salesforce configurations, enhancing compensation structures, and delivering actionable insights that stimulate revenue growth. You will engage with cross-functional teams to align our sales, marketing, and finance strategies, thereby driving the achievement of our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of Salesforce, ensuring effective configuration, customization, and data integrity while developing best practices to enhance system adoption.
  • Lead the Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) process, managing discount approvals, price books, and the deal desk function to ensure compliance with finance’s revenue recognition criteria.
  • Design and manage sales compensation programs that align with business objectives and budgetary requirements.
  • Utilize Salesforce and Clari to generate reports and dashboards that provide insights into sales performance and trends, informing key business decisions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline sales operations and enhance the functionality of Salesforce to boost productivity.
  • Foster collaboration with sales leadership, finance, and HR to ensure coherence on compensation plans while providing monthly reporting and analysis to leadership, pinpointing areas for improvement and growth.
  • Regularly evaluate compensation plan effectiveness and ROI, recommending data-driven enhancements to optimize incentive structures.
  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team of application administrators and analysts, providing guidance and opportunities for professional development.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for the sales team on Salesforce functionalities and compensation plans, ensuring they possess the necessary tools and knowledge to excel.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience (7-10 years) in sales operations with a concentration on Salesforce administration and sales compensation planning, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity. SaaS industry experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, CPQ (Deal Hub preferred), Clari, and other sales productivity tools, coupled with strong Excel and compensation software skills.
  • Ability to analyze data effectively and translate findings into actionable business strategies.
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting methodologies and experience managing complex projects.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to engage effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Proven adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required.
  • Salesforce certifications (such as Administrator or Advanced Administrator) are advantageous.
