Ecommerce Software Engineer

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of E-commerce to design and execute strategies aimed at achieving growth and revenue objectives.
• Regularly update stakeholders on website performance and project progress.
• Enhance website architecture to provide seamless user experiences that retain customer interest.
• Utilize analytics tools to assess performance and implement data-driven enhancements.
• Work alongside Marketing and Design teams to ensure an appealing, functional, and mobile-optimized website.
• Innovate the customer shopping experience through personalized content and responsive feedback.
• Improve functional aspects of the website, including the shopping cart, payment systems, and product search features.
• Manage SEO/SEM initiatives to enhance site visibility and increase traffic.
• Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and technology vendors to align with business goals.
• Oversee the launch of new e-commerce websites and manage ongoing updates.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong foundation in Computer Science or Engineering principles.
• 5 years of experience with server-side JavaScript.
• Minimum 3 years in Agile development environments.
• Proficiency in relational or NoSQL databases and API-first services (REST, GraphQL).
• Expertise in Next.js, React, and LAMP stack.
• Familiarity with Builder.io Headless CMS, Git-based version control, and unit testing practices.
• Knowledge of WooCommerce, PHP, Shopify, and Azure data engineering.
  
  

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in e-commerce, website operations, or digital marketing.
• Proven ability to lead website projects and enhance user experiences.
• Strong comprehension of SEO/SEM, UX/UI design, and various e-commerce platforms.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
