You will manage the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual design through construction and commissioning, ensuring both technical precision and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the design process for transmission projects, guaranteeing alignment with technical standards and project objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to secure necessary resources, permits, and approvals.
- Formulate detailed project scopes, assess bids, and finalize contracts for engineering services.
- Supervise the drafting and delivery of engineering documentation and project deliverables throughout all phases.
- Act as a technical advisor, providing insights in value engineering and upholding the quality of designs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in high-voltage (HV) transmission line development, design, and construction.
- Proficient with tools such as PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to enhance teamwork across multidisciplinary groups.
- Willingness to travel within North America as required.
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred.
- Experience utilizing project management software like Primavera is advantageous.
- Familiarity with renewable energy projects and associated regulatory requirements is a plus.
