Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a diverse caseload of litigation from inception through resolution independently.
- Work in tandem with senior attorneys and partners on strategic case planning and complex legal projects.
- Conduct court appearances, depositions, and hearings with professionalism and confidence.
- Effectively communicate with clients, providing timely updates and informative status reports.
- Tackle high-stakes legal issues, including First Amendment rights, police misconduct, and land use matters.
- Engage in thorough legal research, draft motions, and prepare for trial proceedings.
- Strong background in employment law, general liability, complex torts, and civil rights law.
- Proven proficiency in deposition preparation, discovery management, and trial preparation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, focusing on clear and concise legal reporting.
- Capability to conduct legal research, manage complex legal documents, and handle motion practices.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for client support and case management within the region.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law institution.
- Admission to practice law in the State of New York.
- A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, ideally in employment law, complex torts, general liability, or civil rights.
- Prior exposure to municipal liability defense is advantageous.
