Key Responsibilities
- Independently oversee and execute all necessary functional responsibilities.
- Design, develop, and maintain databases in a client/server architecture.
- Employ desktop database tools, scripts, or queries for the extraction and validation of data.
- Utilize expertise in Oracle 19c for efficient database management.
- Manage AWS Redshift Data Warehouse and Oracle RDS DB systems effectively.
- Diagnose and resolve challenges related to production data loads in a large-scale AWS data warehouse environment.
- Administer, evaluate, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems.
- Establish and uphold data loading and validation procedures to ensure data integrity and availability, adhering to daily deadlines.
- Coordinate modifications to computer databases, ensuring comprehensive documentation and validation processes.
- Populate assigned databases with validated data from structured and semi-structured sources.
- Strategically plan and implement security measures to protect computer databases.
- Collaborate independently or as part of a team to enhance and maintain databases within designated application areas.
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot intricate issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team framework.
- Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technical concepts.
- Solid experience in data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics goals.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and Non-Structured Query Language (NoSQL).
- Familiarity with database solutions, including MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, PostGRES, and Oracle.
- Knowledge in applying advanced mathematical and statistical concepts.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in database administration.
- Must fulfill specific certification and training requirements as outlined in DoD 8570.1-M, DoDD 8570.1 (certification required within 6 months of assignment).
