Key Responsibilities
- Independently oversee and execute all essential functional duties.
- Design, develop, and maintain databases within a client/server framework.
- Utilize desktop database tools, scripts, or queries to process and validate extracted data effectively.
- Apply expertise in Oracle 19c for comprehensive database management.
- Administer AWS Redshift Data Warehouse and Oracle RDS DB systems.
- Diagnose and resolve production data load challenges in a large-scale AWS data warehouse.
- Manage, test, and implement computer databases while utilizing knowledge of various database management systems.
- Establish and uphold data load and validation processes to ensure data integrity and availability in compliance with daily deadlines.
- Coordinate and manage modifications to computer databases, ensuring accurate documentation and validation procedures are followed.
- Populate designated databases with validated records sourced from structured and semi-structured data streams.
- Strategize, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect computer databases.
- Collaborate independently or within a team to maintain and enhance databases pertinent to specific application areas.
- Outstanding oral and written communication capabilities.
- Strong critical thinking aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot intricate issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Capacity to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and apply novel technical concepts.
- Experience in data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to bolster analytics initiatives.
- Solid foundation and experience in applying Structured Query Language (SQL) and Non-Structured Query Language (NoSQL).
- Familiarity with database solutions such as MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, PostGRES, and Oracle.
- Acquainted with complex mathematical and statistical concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in database administration.
- Must comply with specific certification and training requirements in accordance with DoD 8570.1-M, DoDD 8570.1 (Certification required within 6 months of assignment).
