Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team to strategize and implement innovative features and enhancements.
- Write clean, efficient, and thoroughly documented code.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot software to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide accurate project timelines and task estimates.
- Address critical issues promptly to maintain project momentum.
- Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Assist in the ongoing maintenance and support of existing software solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients.
- Participate in client meetings during project discovery phases.
- Ensure proper version control and documentation through GitHub and Jira.
- 4 years of experience as a web developer.
- 2 years of experience developing and maintaining WordPress and/or WooCommerce plugins and themes.
- Strong backend development capabilities.
- Expertise in WooCommerce.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML/CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, Webpack, and Git.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Comfort with version control tools like Git.
- Ability to work remotely in a cloud-based environment, with experience using GitHub, GitHub Codespaces, and Docker.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is advantageous.
- Must be based in the U.S. (not accepting candidates from New York).
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
