Key Responsibilities
- Utilize your engineering acumen to design Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, and Low Voltage systems.
- Spearhead the creation of electrical designs from initial concept to comprehensive construction documents.
- Conduct load demand calculations, develop one-line distribution systems, and perform load flow, short-circuit analysis, and arc flash hazard assessments.
- Mentor junior engineers, offering guidance and support to facilitate their professional advancement.
- Review design documents to ensure compliance with relevant codes, specifications, and standards.
- Collaborate closely with team members and clients, fostering clear and effective communication to guarantee successful project outcomes.
- Produce clear, concise, and well-structured technical documents, including Basis of Design (BOD), design criteria, feasibility studies, and engineering reports.
- Employ design software such as Revit and AutoCAD to create precise system layouts and drawings.
- Conduct field verifications and site visits as required to assess project requirements.
- Technical proficiency in Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, and Low Voltage systems.
- Experience with Medium Voltage Equipment, particularly in healthcare or aerospace facilities, is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with an aptitude for mentoring a team of engineers while cultivating a positive work environment.
- Strong design skills, including proficiency in electrical calculations and experience with design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- A collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively within a team while maintaining accountability for individual tasks.
- A robust commitment to integrity, ethical standards, and accountability in all aspects of work.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-degree experience in an MEP or AE engineering firm.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, although an Engineer in Training (EIT) may be considered.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- The ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
