Key Responsibilities
- Utilize your engineering skills to design Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, and Low Voltage systems.
- Spearhead the generation of electrical designs, guiding projects from initial concept to final construction documentation.
- Conduct load demand calculations, develop one-line distribution systems, perform load flow analysis, short-circuit assessments, and arc flash hazard evaluations.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Review design documents to ensure they comply with relevant codes, specifications, and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and clients to facilitate successful project delivery through effective communication.
- Produce clear, well-structured technical documentation such as Basis of Design (BOD), design criteria, feasibility studies, and engineering reports.
- Conduct field assessments and site visits as required to evaluate project specifications.
- Comprehensive knowledge in designing Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, and Low Voltage systems.
- Proficiency in electrical design calculations and familiarity with design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Leadership skills to guide and inspire a team of engineers within a collaborative framework.
- A commitment to integrity and accountability in all professional undertakings.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-degree experience in an MEP or AE engineering environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; EIT status will also be considered.
- Proficiency in design software, especially Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work autonomously while managing time efficiently in a remote setting.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
