This remote position offers an opportunity to play a crucial role in delivering technical support and ensuring that security protocols are rigorously followed, thus maintaining the integrity of our organization’s IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer support through multiple channels (phone, web portal, and email) to effectively address end-user concerns.
- Supervise the provisioning and configuration of systems for newly hired employees.
- Prioritize and resolve incidents and service requests according to established processes, ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Utilize remote tools and diagnostic utilities to troubleshoot support requests, along with performing hands-on repairs and delivering necessary peripherals when required.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components throughout the network infrastructure.
- Ensure that antivirus software is operational and regularly updated to protect systems against potential threats.
- Administer servers using Active Directory, alongside managing File & Print services, DNS, and DHCP.
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of network firewalls and switches.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance, including the upkeep of workstations, printers, and other peripherals.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with colleagues and departments to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Adhere to company safety and security standards to guarantee compliance with best practices.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of network and server solutions as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in desktop and server operating systems (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11, Office 365, macOS, iPhone).
- Comprehensive understanding of business productivity systems and related technologies.
- Practical experience with Active Directory management.
- Familiarity with Kaseya.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for building rapport and posing insightful inquiries.
- Strong problem-solving skills complemented by a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to operate independently with moderate supervision.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the capability to travel to customer sites as necessary.
- College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Preferred: CompTIA Net and/or CompTIA Security certifications.
