Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits and perform both on-site and remote risk assessments.
- Oversee internal report evaluations, ensuring adherence to recommendations and guidelines.
- Collect objective risk-related data on various accounts, supplying underwriters with pertinent information that meets established guidelines and regulations.
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with clients and associated agents.
- Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive service plans aimed at effective risk reduction in property and casualty insurance.
- Collaborate with market partners (underwriting and distribution) to deliver additional insights on accounts, while identifying and communicating high hazard exposures.
- Guarantee that risk assessments and reports are clear and informative, reflecting a comprehensive picture of potential risk factors.
- Organize and prioritize assignments, delivering reports on pre-bind assessments, new business, renewals, and large account service programs in alignment with established timelines and requirements.
- Maintain all required professional designations and certifications mandated by regulatory bodies for loss control services.
- Adhere to all departmental guidelines and consult with management on various accounts.
- Represent a professional and positive image to our clients, agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Hold a valid driver's license and be amenable to overnight travel as necessary, which may occur up to 30% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Safety Management, Risk Management, or a closely related field.
- A demonstrated dedication to self-improvement through the pursuit of professional insurance designations (such as CSP, CIH, PE, CPCU, etc.).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in property/casualty insurance, with at least 3 years in a loss control representative capacity.
- Proven success in planning and executing risk reduction services with clients.
